As the Director, you'll oversee the architecture and operations of our Data and Analytics team within our Supply Chain business unit. You'll be identifying business needs, developing technology strategy, reviewing designs, and managing the delivery of data and AI/ML solutions.
Responsibilities:
Architecture and Strategy: Create and implement data strategies that support business goals, ensure data availability, and uphold data quality through governance policies.
Technology Evaluation: Lead the evaluation and suitability assessment of various technology solutions and frameworks.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data and AI/ML engineering, recommending their adoption as needed.
Collaboration and Communication: Work with executives and teams to communicate strategies and highlight their business value.
Team Leadership: Direct a team of architects and engineers to maintain our data and AI/ML ecosystem.
Project Management: Manage projects from business case preparation to implementation, including budgeting, scoping, planning, execution, and delivery.
Vendor Management: Work with vendors and partners to select new data solutions and provide support for current ones.
Why You?
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
  • 15+ years of experience in building and managing data and analytics applications.
  • Experience with data streaming and change data capture technologies (Kafka, ADF, FiveTran/HVR), and various relational, columnar, graph and vector databases.
  • Experience with AI/ML engineering, including tools (Dataiku, Iguazio, Data Robot, AzureML) and frameworks (TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch and MLFlow).
  • Experience with modern data engineering tools (e.g., Talend, DBT, Databricks, Snowflake) and data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, ThoughtSpot).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Architect certifications such as TOGAF, Zachman, FEAF or equivalent, professional solutions architect certification from any public cloud provider, preferably, Microsoft Azure, Data Engineering certification from Databricks or AI/ML boot camp or MOOC specializations.
  • Understanding of data engineering solutions used in industrial automation, manufacturing, and ERP/SAP domains related to supply chain, manufacturing, and quality.
  • Experience with implementing high-availability and disaster recovery strategies, and automation using DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Skilled in formulating architecture strategies and roadmaps, planning technology implementation, and communicating effectively. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills are crucial.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Ability to lead technical review boards and evangelize data and AI/ML ecosystem across teams.
  • Familiarity with regulations (GxP, SoX, HIPAA & GDPR).
  • Cloud engineering skills with Azure, AWS, or GCP, including setting up and maintaining cloud native platforms and solutions.
