Job Description
Reporting to the VP, Supply Chain, the Director, Supply and Material Planning will lead the supply planning and material planning functions to actively manage the short-term and mid-term network production plan and inventory management strategy across raw and packaging materials, subcomponents, and finished goods, resulting in uninterrupted supply across the production network while optimizing stock levels, driving supply and material planning KPIs, and implementing system and process improvements to deliver outstanding financial results for Mark Anthony Brewing. This individual will drive the Integrated Business Planning process for supply and material planning, align closely with functional leaders to address demand and supply risks, proactively solve capacity and flow concerns, and make recommendations based on collaborative and fact-based data supported by root cause analysis.
Core Duties And Responsibilities
Business Outcomes: Run + Build - implements departmental tools, systems, business cases, reporting, business processes and resourcing plans
People and Teams: Directs the work of others up to and including Sr. Manager and has authority for resource planning, hiring, performance, development, disciplinary action and termination
Know-How: Progressive knowledge of concepts and business processes and how they can be applied or integrated into the business
Strategic Planning (40%)
  • Lead the process to continually balance and optimize inventory levels of raw and packaging materials, subcomponents, and finished goods across sites nationally.
  • Accountable for ensuring that accurate, monthly packaging and raw materials forecasts are published to suppliers timely.
  • Drive a production and material planning function that is laser-focused on driving solutions and delivering results and is agile enough to meet the company's aggressive top-line growth plans.
  • Manage Mark Anthony Brewing’s inventory segmentation strategy (ABCD) that incorporates product classification and depletion forecast balancing.
  • Implement a plan to deliver frozen, slush and liquid planning horizons.
  • Develop a communication cadence and a set of metrics to understand how Mark Anthony Brewing is performing against inventory, delivery, and forecasting targets. Lead corrective action implementation in those areas where performance is not meeting expectations.
  • Forecast and manage inventory levels across all sites to ensure supply plans meet financial objectives and eliminate obsolescence risk.
  • Functional lead for the development of the supply and material planning module of an optimized Integrated Business Planning process that incorporates Mark Anthony Brewing’s network and product expansion.
Technical Functions (20%)
  • Ensure the supply planning process and tools reflect the most up to date capacity information over a 24 -month horizon.
  • Lead the national material planning process including delivery to domestic and international locations.
Logistical Functions (20%)
  • Build the supply plan, highlighting any gaps or excess production that needs to be adjusted within the network to prevent shuttling costs.
  • Provide an overview of capacity against demand, highlighting supply chain planning performance metrics and make recommendations on key challenges and decisions that need to be made to effectively run the business.
Team & Leadership Functions (20%)
  • Build a structure and hard-working team that delivers exceptional service by building short- and long-term horizon planning subject area, proactive reporting and clear systems and processes to drive accountability.
  • Lead a team of leaders to deliver planning adaptability across production and material planning
Qualifications
  • Successful track record of building and leading impactful teams.
  • 8+ years of senior leadership experience in food, beverage, or packaging industries.
  • Strategic vision and business savvy balanced with strong operational integrated supply chain experience.
  • High attention to detail, be data-driven and fact-based.
  • Outstanding project management and organizational skills with proven experience leading projects, including outstanding troubleshooting skills with ability to drive solutions cross-functionally.
  • Excellent influencing skills; confident, robust, and happy expressing one's opinion. Can communicate and present at the senior executive level.
  • Extensive leadership experience with supply planning and process improvement, including ERP systems and Integrated Business Processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field required.
