Job Description

We are seeking a Director of Strategic Sourcing, Real Estate & Facilities to manage our portfolio of properties around the world. This person will be a key member of our corporate indirect procurement team and will help us drive our mission to optimize procurement to bolster the development of essential technologies for people who accelerate progress.
What You’ll Do
The person selected for this role will be a strategic category manager who will lead Fortive's global Real Estate portfolio including strategy, budgeting, site selection, financial analysis, transaction negotiations, design and construction management, Facilities management, and Utilities management.
Responsibilities include:
Facilitating dialogue between leadership teams to formulate and implement strategies that align with Fortive and operating company business requirements
Participating in budget planning and preparation.
Crafting and implementing capital plans to align with business unit strategic growth initiatives
Leading projects to assure timely completion within budget
Acting as the point of contact for Real Estate and contract brokerage.
Providing an accurate accounting of property assets.
Leading all aspects of property consolidations, investments, acquisitions, and divestments.
Ensuring Facilities programs are aligned with company standards.
Ensuring Utilities programs meet company objectives
Owning the Real Estate playbook; educating business partners on playbook use and implementation.
Interacting with Counsel and Risk on all property transactions
Maintaining critical dates for all leases, lease renewals, and lease exits.
Leading Lease Governance Process and ensuring contracts are completed in a timely manner to ensure the best negotiating position for Fortive’s Real Estate brokerage and the best value for Fortive.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
12+ years of varied experience in Facilities, Construction, and/or Real Estate.
Strong communication, strong analytical skills, and management and supervisory capabilities are required
Experience in Asset Management and Strategy at a Corporate level.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Real Estate knowledge of financial reporting and understanding of commercial Real Estate financial principles
Experience with renovations and construction projects exceeding $25M in scope.
Ability to quickly learn how operations and business units function
Experience in negotiating basic and complicated industrial leases
Knowledge of federal and local building codes.
Experience in a manufacturing or lean production environment.
Strong analytical approach and proven leadership within a matrixed organization.
A coordinated approach to problem-solving with the capability of building consensus and support, working across functional lines to engage appropriate resources to achieve desired results.
Collaborative style with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
Knowledge of business structures, workflows, and business operations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate across all levels, and a consistent track record for successful presentation to Executive Level Leadership.
Ability to balance multiple tasks and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
High level of diplomacy and tact, ensuring confidentiality of information when required
Self-motivated, driven, and able to work under own initiative
Well-organized with strong attention to detail
Strong digital literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

National: The salary range for this position is $129,800- $241,000
Everett, WA: The salary range for this position is $149,270- $277,150
This position is also eligible for bonus and equity as part of the total compensation package.
Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
