Job Description
The Plant Operations Director, in accordance with established policies and procedures, is responsible for overseeing the care and maintenance of all aspects of the physical plant; including maintaining an effective preventative maintenance program; the hiring, training and supervising of all plant personnel; the coordinating of life safety and security programs; the procuring of supplies, material and equipment, and assisting with budget preparation and operating within budgetary guidelines. All duties are performed in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations and local ordinances.


Qualifications


  • High School education required with thorough knowledge of plant operations and engineering. Bachelor degree in engineering or related field preferred. 2. At least five years experience in plant engineering and/or trades such as plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, refrigeration, ground maintenance, masonry or maintenance. Three years supervisory experience. 3. Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals or governmental regulations. Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. 4. Ability to effectively communicate with and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public. 5. Previous experience in the health care field and/or with a senior population preferred. Knowledge of fire safety and MSDS training also preferred.
