Job Description

Rumford Community Home is seeking a Director of Therapy Services to oversee the overall operations of the rehabilitation department to assure that quality care is provided in all rehab disciplines.
The Director of Therapy Services is a licensed therapist (PT or OT), performs duties in compliance with all federal and state law, company policies, and customer service expectations. Position has direct clinical care and supervisory/ management responsibilities.
Rumford Community Home is an 85-bed active living community offering residential care, secured dementia care, skilled rehabilitation, and long-term care nursing services. We provide medical care, 24-hour personal care, private and shared rooms, a full calendar of events and activities, laundry, housekeeping and delicious meals. Our goal is to deliver compassionate care to you or your loved one in an affordable, all-inclusive environment.
Essential Duties:
  • Defines the goals of the rehab department in collaboration with the Administrator.
  • Supervises rehab department, in cooperation with facility Administrator.
  • Fulfills the responsibilities of a therapist in their discipline of practice in accordance with productivity standards, and as necessary to provide the required level of treatments to residents/patients.

Education and Experience:
  • Experience with Long Term Care, Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care regulations required.
  • Five or more years of experience in rehabilitation, with three or more years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Maine License to practice as a PT, OTR or a Speech Language Pathologist.
