Job Summary
Our organization consists of many different departments that support the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, and Footprint Center.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Director of Sales with the Global Partnership Solutions (GPS) Department. This position will be responsible for Assist in overseeing the generation of corporate revenue for the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, Legends Entertainment District and other areas of entertainment as assigned. Lead a sales team in managing current partner relationships, the renewal of expiring agreements and the generation of new business.

What Will You Do
  • Renewal or new business presentations, schedule meetings, etc…
  • Ability to cultivate new and existing corporate partner relationships to ensure sponsor revenue growth that exceeds the requirements for this position as determined by the company
  • Provide accurate, reliable information for sales forecasts and inventory management reports with significant understanding of CRM and participation in sales tracking for multiple properties
  • Develop dynamic sales presentations for current or new business prospects by incorporating research of category dynamics and clear understanding of the prospective partner's marketing goals
  • Lead, mentor and motivate co-workers to work as a cohesive team in accomplishing goals
  • Provide consistent, concise feedback to SVP and CRO
  • Lead a sales team responsible for generating revenue from the sale of marketing assets
  • Generate short-term sales strategies/campaigns to reach specific goals:
What We Need From Our Director
  • Experience in managing people
  • Experience in pitching six figure/seven figure partnerships
  • Must have basic understanding of MS word, power point and excel
  • Experience in presenting to Sr. Management Team
  • Ability to multi-task and handle a variety of responsibilities
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to problem solve
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Fundamental understanding of sales process
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Sound leadership ability including motivating, coaching and performance management accompanied with effective communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Three (3) plus years of sales management experience
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Experience/ Education Requirements
  • Sales experience preferably in advertising or sponsorship sales
  • Five (5) plus years of experience in sales
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
  • Industry experience in supporting and managing a successful high-volume sales team.
