Reporting to the VP of Defense Americas Aftermarket (DAA) within America’s Aftermarket sales channel, the candidate will lead all aspects of the US Air Force business within DAA with overall responsibility for achieving key business success criteria including profitable growth, business development, program execution, business financial performance, and customer satisfaction. This includes overall business strategy, revenue growth, gross margin, cash, AOP, MRR, STRAP, and customer and employee satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Identifies opportunities and executes specific plans to improve the overall performance and profitability of the USAF business
  • Leads the USAF team (Customer Business Managers, Business Development, Program Managers, functional resources) to deliver on business objectives and customer commitments and meet the organization's mission
  • Attainment of key financial metrics including revenue, working capital, operating income, controllable expenses, and business renewal and growth.
  • Acts as the lead business negotiator in closing multi-year life cycle support contracts, whose value can exceed $100M
  • Leads the execution of all USAF programs and is responsible for maintaining good and consistent program performance within budgets and requirements
  • Provides leadership and overall strategy for business segment growth, ensuring operational execution, meeting or exceeding annual and STRAP commitments
  • Responsible for talent management including manpower planning/organizational alignment, talent selection and development, MRR, GCP and HPD adherence and direction.
  • Leads a wide range of development and production programs with an extensive high-level customer, engineering, and supply chain interface. Provides internal executive resolution in partnership with functional and customer business leaders.
  • Develops and leads the execution of business strategies in alignment with the overall DAA and GBE strategic direction
  • Partners with other business leaders, GBE and Adv Tech for internal growth strategy, while developing long-term external customer relationships (specific to the USAF) and industry presence to achieve cumulative growth. Leads the team in the development and execution of negotiation strategies and leads major negotiations for all business aspects with the customer group.
  • Develops capture strategy and leads team through pre-RFP Business Development activities, proposal response, and capture of new programs.
-Acts as an enabler, and drives the operating system in promoting and implementing growth acceleration initiatives through Honeywell Aerospace Trading - HAT, Business Policy Transformation - BPT, Retrofits, Modifications, and Upgrades – RMUs.
Understands the competitive environment, develops and implements mitigation plans, and leads their execution.
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree in technical or business area
  • Experience running/ managing a performance-based logistics contract
  • 8+ years of experience and knowledge of fundamental program management principles, ability to work effectively with Supply Chain, Engineering, Sales, Finance, Pricing, Contract, and Customer & Product Support to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Must have significant large-scale, complex business leadership experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in business development, program management, product line strategy, or other related areas.

  • Working knowledge of business and financial fundamentals (Profit & Loss, Working Capital Management, Investment Analysis, Balance Sheet, Green Sheets).
