Director Of Quality Assurance

The Director of Quality Assurance is responsible for planning, coordination, and management of Pura's Quality Management System (QMS) to support the delivery of best-in-class products and customer experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive quality management system to ensure the delivery of safe, reliable, and high-quality products to our customers. The Director of Quality Assurance will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including customer service, R&D, supply chain, and external partners (co-manufactures, 3PL, component suppliers, etc.), to uphold and enhance our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

This is for a full-time position located at our HQ in Pleasant Grove, UT.

A Day in the Life of the Director of Quality Assurance

• Implement ISO 9000 (or equivalent QMS) companywide.
• Develop and maintain a supplier quality program to ensure the highest quality materials are supplied by the highest quality vendors.
• Develop and implement a quality production program to ensure conformity of purchased material and final products to quality standards.
• Guide the leadership team in the integration and management of a world class QMS for Pura products and processes.
• Work closely with the supply chain team to establish supplier quality requirements and conduct regular audits and assessments of key suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Oversee product quality testing and analysis processes to verify adherence to specifications and identify potential issues early in the production cycle.
• Collaborate with the R&D team to establish quality metrics and performance indicators to measure product quality throughout its lifecycle.
• Lead and conduct internal and external audits to assess compliance with quality standards, identifying areas for improvement and taking corrective actions as necessary.
• Develop and maintain a robust customer complaint handling process to investigate, resolve, and address customer feedback related to product quality issues.

Qualifications

• Exceptional cross-functional communicator and collaborator. Ability to digest complex data and project plans sets and effectively communicate priorities and trade-offs to all teams for ease of decision making.
• Expert Arena skills.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, business management, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), preferred. APICS certification a plus, but not required.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, root cause analysis, and attention to detail.
• NetSuite experience a plus.
• Adept at communicating up. Communication skills coach for junior team members.
• Strong knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and frameworks (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, ISO standards).
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills requirement with strong analytical abilities, at a minimum must be able to use VLOOKUP, SUMIF and create functional pivot tables.
