Position Summary

The Director of Program Evaluation for the Ballmer Institute/Research Associate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and analyzing all program evaluation and research activities related to the Child Behavioral Health Training Program (CBH-TP) under the direction of the incoming Executive Director, Dr. Katie McLaughlin.
The CBH-TP establishes a new national model for behavioral health care for children and families by creating the nation’s first undergraduate program in child behavioral health. This program will provide undergraduates with applied training in the delivery of interventions to promote well-being and prevent mental health problems from developing and worsening in children and adolescents. Graduates of the program will leave with practical skills that will allow them to directly enter the behavioral health workforce as child behavioral health specialists (CBHS) to support the well-being of youth in schools, the health care system, and other community settings.
All elements of the CBH-TP will need to be evaluated and researched for their effectiveness, acceptability, and impact across a variety of outcomes. Program evaluation will focus on both implementation outcomes and behavioral health outcomes for youth and schools that receive services from CBHS students. The program evaluation will be used to inform the specific intervention techniques students will be trained to administer; the model for clinical decision-making; competency assessments; the clinical supervision model; the integration of CBHS students into existing systems; and the digital tools needed to support training and service delivery.
The position is eligible for remote work. Local and statewide travel is required up to 20%.
This position is a 12-month Career Faculty position in the Research Associate classification series. The position’s responsibilities are guided by the United Academics Collective Bargaining Agreement and the Ballmer Institute for Children's Behavioral Health's Career and Limited Duration Faculty Review and Promotion Policy.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience managing databases, constructing data files, conducting and supervising data entry, and performing data edits/cleaning.
• Experience equivalent to two years of full-time professional work in program evaluation, research methodology, and/or directing statistical research.
• Experience with Institutional Review Boards.
• Doctoral degree in statistics, social or behavioral science, epidemiology, health administration and public policy, or a relevant field.
• Experience gathering data using qualitative and quantitative approaches.
• Experience conducting analyses using analytic tools, specifically R or SAS.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D./Psy.D. from an APA-accredited doctoral program.
• Experience with K12 educational evaluation.
• Experience using Tableau.
