Longwood University invites applications for the position of Director of Operations - Women's Basketball (GA040) in Athletics. The Director of Operations will work with the women's head basketball coach and staff to ensure completion of the day-to-day operations of the women's basketball program. This position will be responsible for off the court activities, including processing paperwork, coordinating team travel and ordering equipment.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

• Coordinate and plan summer camps
• Coordinate all aspects of team travel
• Assist the head coach and assistant coaches with coordinating the recruiting program
• Manage film exchange and video editing programs
• Other duties as assigned
• Coordinate student-athlete visits within NCAA recruit guidelines (official and unofficial visits)
• Coordinate special events/team activities
• Size and order/re-order equipment
• Guide and support student athletes by encouraging academic success and personal growth
• Assist with leading Student Managers
• Administer the day-to-day operations of the Women's Basketball program
• Complete the day-to-day paperwork/practice plans

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Knowledge and understanding of NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations
• Experience working with video editing preferred
• Master's preferred, or Bachelor's degree with equivalent combination of work experience and training
• Experience running summer camps and clinics preferred
• Experience playing, working in, or around, a college athletics program preferred
• Possess outstanding written and verbal communication and organizational skills
• Strong leadership skills
