Job Description
Our client is a fast-growing SaaS company in search of a savvy SaaS generalist; we're seeking a versatile person to help with the general management of Customer Operations and Training. A vital part of our growing ops team, this position is designed for a details-oriented professional who will help drive sales by focusing on customer analytics and retention processes. The individual in the position will be proficient across sales operations requirements in training, technology, and customer engagement.
This position includes responsibilities for customer care, SaaS License Maintenance, Customer Renewal Engagement, and special projects. However, as a Director you will sometimes play an individual contributor—rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty in details.
Ample experience with the inner workings of a SaaS company matters greatly for this role—including broadly understanding product development, go-to-market strategies, and customer lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
  • Play a pivotal role in a growing ops team responsible for day-to-day customer administration, Training, and special projects.
  • Become an expert in the confluence of customer strategies, customer mission, toolset, and wider business in order to develop processes that deliver efficiencies across the Operations, Training and Business Development areas.
  • Plan to pivot and excel— while over 10 years old, operates in a Start-up environment.
  • Oversee—and, be hands on with—Day to Day activities and special projects, from onboarding new Customers/End Users onto the toolset.
  • Customer analytics and retention
  • Engage and foster key stakeholder relationships - in an industry that is continually evolving, you'll hold key customer/end user relationships and intercompany relationships that will require you to take in, interpret and disseminate information quickly across the organization.
  • Learn software inside out and feel at ease sharing your knowledge with customers, sometimes in very senior positions.
Requirements
The preferred candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
  • An inclination toward, and attention to, detail.
  • A shoulder-to-shoulder leader who has worn multiple hats to build up every aspect of operations.
  • A knack for analyzing internal operations and identify areas of process enhancement. A history of developing actionable business strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives, created in tandem with company leadership.
  • Confidence as a decision maker, with fluency in data, analytics, and performance metrics.
  • Experience in a startup environment, SaaS preferred.
  • An ability to identify and promote talent as well as a corresponding ability to deselect individuals who are a poor organizational fit.
  • Ability to zoom between macro and micro, and to apply elbow grease where necessary; you're not too proud to do low-level work as a situation may require.
  • Regular pattern of conceiving and executing on meaningful initiatives within a software business
  • The ability and experience to develop and execute Customer/End user Software Training
A Big Plus!
  • Experience with horizontal SaaS companies selling to the Federal Government.
  • You will engage with and often work alongside.
  • Entrepreneurial background and/or experience at a software startup, where you donned many caps.
  • Experience with legal and risk assessment (e.g., compliance, contracts, NDAs, etc.).
