CCPC is a Christian, humanitarian community resource center that helps improve the lives of people and communities through meeting immediate and basic needs, serving as a leading networker of community resources, offering counseling and care support, and giving hope to those we serve.


Focusing primarily on the population centers of Summit and Wasatch counties, CCPC serves all people, regardless of race, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, ethnicity or gender. We require no membership, dues, or compliance with our faith traditions to be served by our programs and resources.


We are a 501c(3), nonprofit organization that partners with other nonprofits, government agencies, businesses, churches, interfaith councils and individuals in order to meet the needs of our community.


Director of Operations oversees the primary operations of all CCPC including overseeing both Store Managers (Heber Thrift and Park City Boutique/Thrift), Receiving Manager, the Inventory Process, along with all maintenance and upkeep of all CCPC facilities.


Responsibilities Include:


  • Coordinates through the Receiving Manager, the opening and closing of the receiving area and makes determinations related to the temporary closing down of the Receiving area, clearly communicating this to all CCPC staff and volunteers.
  • In conjunction with Receiving Manager, help oversee daily operations of the Receiving Team including but not limited to the management of sorting, storage, and distribution of donated items given to CCPC while ensuring that the public is appropriately greeted and that the receiving staff obtains all donated items from the donor, ensuring customer and donor satisfaction.
  • Oversee all building/property maintenance and upkeep through a team, serving primary contact for all initial building systems installers, coordinating repairs, vendor relationships related to building maintenance and coordinate with cleaning company who provides weekly cleanings of CCPC building.
  • Ensures preparation of the receiving area for the next day and makes sure trash, recyclables, barrels, and donations are in appropriate places.
  • In conjunction with Receiving Manager, oversee all furniture donation pick-ups including the truck drivers, ensuring the safe movement and transport of donated goods to their intended destination.
  • Provide IT support for all Store managers and Receiving department as well as serving as primary point person with CCPC’s IT consultant.
  • Ensure that CCPC runs with legality and conformity to established regulations as it relates to your area of responsibility.
  • Review financial budget for CCPC Operations area and adjust to promote profitability while maximizing impact of services in conjunction with CEO and CFO.
  • Enhance and extend online presence of CCPC’s three stores through supporting and working with CCPC’s Marketing Manager and CEO.
  • Train all pertinent staff and volunteers on proper safety procedures, policies, and communication guidelines.
  • Responsible for monitoring donation levels in warehouse and ensuring the most efficient use of space. Coordinate with CCPC’s senior leadership as well as store managers to determine proper amount of stored donated items as well as levels to maintain during specific seasons.
  • Being willing to assist in any area of CCPC’s activities as needed or directed by CEO.
  • Track daily, weekly and monthly sales, including but not limited to daily sales average, daily transaction averages, month over month comparisons etc.
  • In conjunction with Receiving Manager, responsible for planning, organizing and monitoring the receiving, storage and distribution of all items received from donors, ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so all donations (GIK and PGIK) are located and distributed to proper departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal staff and external donor requirements as well as implementing an efficient GIK donation thank you process and data collection system.
  • Responsible for the sorting and storage of all donated stock and then the distribution of stock to individual stores, storage, recycling or waste, and helping make CCPC as sustainable as possible.
  • Sets strategic goals each quarter, planning and coordinating work, while training and motivating, monitoring and evaluating Thrift and Boutique Managers, Heber Thrift Store manager, Receiving Manager and crew leaders; ensuring their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage facilities.
  • Regularly evaluate the efficiency of CCPC’s Operation procedures according to organizational objectives by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics, and apply improvements as necessary in conjunction with CEO, meeting with CEO weekly and Operations Teams weekly.
  • Maintains a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the receiving area’s mission, developing crew leaders to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned crew members and determining and maintaining schedules for receiving personnel and verifying hours worked.


Qualifications:


  • Strong administrative, communication, delegative and organizational skills, building teams, leading direct reports and detailed administrative reporting.
  • Understands and adheres to organization’s and department’s policy and procedures.
  • Environment and maintain positive attitude in the midst of change.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, in a multi-task.
  • Good driving record and ability to drive large box trucks/trucks & trailers.
  • Ability to work outside/in the elements for large portions of the day.
  • Ability to speak Spanish, or willingness to learn is a bonus.
  • Strong organizational skills with previous managerial experience.
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds and can stand most of the day while working.
