Job Description

:

The Director of Operations will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing business, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all aspects of the production process. This position will also be crucial in communicating and coordinating with our Spanish-speaking employees and partners, fostering a supportive, inclusive, and productive work environment.


THIS ROLE REQUIRES YOU TO FULLY RELOCATE TO THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC.***


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all manufacturing operations, ensuring products are manufactured on schedule, within quality standards and cost objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety programs, industry regulations, and standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies for manufacturing process optimization, improving efficiency, reducing waste, and driving down costs.
  • Implement and refine manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
  • Direct, manage and develop plant staff to meet manufacturing objectives.
  • Develop and implement quality control programs to maintain high standards of production.
  • Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost-effective production.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering to optimize operations and productivity.


Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  2. 10+ yrs of experience in an operations management role within a manufacturing environment.
  3. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required
  4. Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, logistics, and supply chain management.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with manufacturing software.
  6. Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  7. Exceptional problem-solving skills and a strategic thinker.
  8. Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
  9. Willing to relocate to the Dominican Republic.
