Job Description

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced, engaging, and goal-oriented leader to join their senior leadership team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the assembly operations of the manufacturing plant, including all phases of assembly production, receiving and shipping, and facilities maintenance. The focus of this role is on achieving results that are aligned with the larger picture of the organization and its strategic goals. It involves innovation and creativity in generating ideas for quick response to changing conditions. This individual should be an action-oriented decision-maker who can focus on implementing practical and timely solutions; be self-assured, innovative, and a creative problem-solver who will take the initiative and place particular emphasis on implementing effective systems that drive results while constantly problem-solving, mentoring and engaging the commitment of others.

Responsibilities

· Collaborating with the owners and on-site management to ensure the growth and success of all production personnel.

· Help execute the strategic, operational, and financial objectives of the organization.

· Consistently promoting our client’s Core Values of Knowledge, Attitude, Leading by Example, Organization, and Willingness.

· Provide leadership and direction to department supervisors on all aspects of plant performance, foster team-building and cross-functional project management/leadership experience.

· Provide training and guidance to direct reports to meet performance standards, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area for employees.

· Collaborating with the senior management team and supervisors to develop monthly production forecasts and daily production schedules, managing manufacturing operations to ensure the on-time delivery of all customer products, ensuring that products meet customer and company standards, and establishing and maintaining the operating plan and associated operating cost budgets and profitability of individual product lines.

· Provide effective management and oversight of the production and operating metrics, department goals, and KPIs, analyze workforce requirements and collaborate with other managers for the hiring and training of all manufacturing personnel, and implement, oversee.

· Participate in Continuous Improvement/Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve manufacturing efficiencies, product quality, and the financial performance of the organization.

· Manage assembly equipment and facilities and building maintenance to optimize plant operations to meet quality and production standards, maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in the industry related to operations management, and identify,

recommend, and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources.

Qualifications

· Minimum of 10 years of experience in key leadership/management roles at a manufacturing company

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or another related field

· Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point, and/or Access) to analyze data trends.

· Strong hands-on experience using MRP/ERP software systems and maintenance systems.
