Director Of Manufacturing Jobs

TH Daniels are partnered with a Specialty Chemical Manufacturer based in Chicago, Illinois to hire a new Director of Manufacturing.

Responsible for EH&S, Warehouse, Engineering and Maintenance as well as the manufacturing department. Supervises department managers to providing vision, strategy, and mentorship to the department leaders. 4 to 5 direct reports.

Leads and works with the operations team to purchase raw materials, schedule reactors and process equipment, supervise quality and safety, manage labor and equipment capacity, troubleshoot quality and equipment issues, and manage inventory and quality. This position interfaces with customer service, quality, R&D, purchasing, engineering, executive management, and other groups regularly. This is a key, high profile position in the company.

· Education and Experience

· BSc in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is expected

· PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering would be positive

· 7 Years + in chemical manufacturing

· Demonstrated experience in one or more of core reaction competencies is expected: with emphasis on Ethoxylation, Alkoxylation or Propoxylation

· Demonstrated experience in taking products from lab scale into manufacturing is expected
