Job purpose


Responsible for all areas of related to warehousing and distribution; the purpose of this leadership position is to promote and implement the company's core values and excellence in customer service; build and drive a high performance to achieve business objectives; responsible for maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers.


Duties And Responsibilities


Provides strategic leadership for integrated logistics, supply chain management and distribution operation for the company.


Champions, initiates, and drives strategic objectives to remove barriers and adapt current process to facilitate improvement and change management.


Provides leadership through effective communications, coaching and development while comparing results to goals and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary.


Responsible for managing and growing customer-focused team members.


Leads the development of and maintenance of the logistics policies and guidelines.


Drives continuous improvement on established logistic strategies and implements value-added logistic services.


Coordinates with vendors to manage activities in order to meet service level expectations.


Ensures that logistics are in compliance with United States Customs and Border Protection regulations.


Transforming and improving all processes related to the physical movement of inventory including; customer service, inbound/outbound rack handling, warehousing, packaging, shipping, storage of finished racks, transportation management including carrier selection/agreement management.


Transforming and improving the information flow, system, tools and process related to the physical movement of product.


Drives key performance indicators (KPIs) and continuous improvement throughout the logistics operations and service provider supply base.


Manage all aspects of people development for logistics personnel.


Create and implement effective strategies and lead teams toward achievement of business and warehouse objectives; aligning with Department Leadership Teams.


Establish long- and short-term strategies of operations including training, development, process improvement, over a broad spectrum of support needs.


Provides guidance and direction to Supervisors in the overall performance management of employees.


Responsible for the performance review evaluation process for Logistics team.


Utilizes computing skills and knowledge base to work with multiple computer systems.


Maintains current knowledge of industry trends, market activities, and competitors.


Supports maintaining a safe working environment and focuses on safe work habits.


Maintains a focus for self and team on continuous learning that will enhance skill sets and growth opportunities.

Qualifications


A 4-year degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Operations, Finance and/or equivalent experience


10 or more years in Warehouse management experience


Ability to quickly learn and use a variety of system tools


Individual will need to develop significant expertise in multiple systems that are critical to analyzing and influencing the daily Distribution business


Direct experience with WMS, Apprise, and or other enterprise systems is required.


Ability to work collaboratively across department functions


Demonstrated leadership skills; proven ability to influence cross functional teams


Demonstrated ability to influence desired outcomes through direct and indirect resources


Willing and able to travel in between warehouse locations


Physical Requirements


Sitting, Standing Walking


Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (includes upward pulling)


Carrying, Pushing, Pulling boxes and orders up to 75 lbs.
