About the Role:

Our goal is to improve and enhance the Resident Supply Chain network to ultimately drive the best customer experience in a reliable and cost-efficient manner. The Director Of Logistics and Distribution acts as the functional and financial owner and lead responsible for the team including procurement, open PO management, inbound logistics and distribution. This role will own the team responsible for seamless procurement of inventory, management of open POs with factory partners, and well coordinated inbound freight into Resident operated facilities and 3PL facilities.

Additionally this role will oversee the relationship and cost centers of our distribution facilities, be responsible for inventory control management within the facilities, and be the owner of the functional and financial execution of Resident Homes’ distribution network.

The role is responsible for flawless execution during peak and off peak periods and involves driving critical decisions with cross functional teams and senior leadership and demands strong program management skills along-with an ability to drive data driven discussions. The candidate is expected to have exceptional analytical, planning and written/verbal communication skills.

This is a remote position that might require travel. Holidays are peak times for our business and work may be required. This position requires travel to all US time zones. Candidates must live in the United States to be considered for this position.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Improve and own the KPIs of the team to hold factories accountable for timely production and shipments to ensure high in stock rates
• Own the functional and financial bridge between partner factories and suppliers and Resident fulfillment centers as the central point to plan and execute inbound supply
• Rollout best practices from other geographies/ companies to minimize end to end supply chain losses
• Own a critical part of the supply chain, ensuring clarity between operations, sales, finance on status of products, expected shipment and arrival dates, and insights to anything driving changes to plan
• Work with the operations, development, and BI teams to build out tools and processes to drive transparent awareness throughout the organization around inbound product
• Set up processes to strengthen inbound supply chain planning with an objective of minimizing cost and maximizing product availability across the network
• Make the existing processes scalable by identifying and implementing available tools/automation
• Utilize exceptional problem-solving and communication skills to influence business, operations and technical audiences
• Coordination with partners in sourcing and operations to ensure the timely shipment and complete visibility of inbound product with the goal of maximizing in stock rates across the network, while minimizing cost
• Manage the teams responsible for procurement, PO management, inbound logistics, and distribution

Qualifications

• Candidate should have excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus
• 1+ Years of work or academic experience with SQL, proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
• At least 5-7 years of experience in Supply Chain and Planning or as an Operations/Planning Manager
• Bachelor's Degree
• Demonstrated ability to drive results and clear analytical ability with proof points of how to use data to drive performance improvements
• Must be detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to own and follow through on issues

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience in a fast-paced, start-up e-commerce environment with the ability to quickly get up to speed, iterate and take on other projects
• Experience with order management, manufacturing, and distribution processes
• Ability to self-motivate and work independently & within a decentralized team
• Strong attention to detail & organization skills
• Supply Chain Management or Engineering Degree
