Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Innovation to join our dynamic team. The Director of Innovation will be responsible for leading and managing innovation initiatives across our organization, with the goal of driving growth, creating value, and improving our competitive position in the market. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, creative problem-solver, and excellent communicator with experience in developing and implementing innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including customers, vendors, and academic institutions, to identify and leverage external innovation opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize innovation opportunities.
- Lead the development and execution of the organization's innovation strategy.
- Foster a culture of innovation by creating an environment that encourages experimentation, risk-taking, and creativity.
- Manage the innovation budget and resources.
- Establish metrics to track and measure the success of innovation initiatives.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, trends, and market opportunities to inform innovation efforts.
- Develop and manage innovation projects from ideation to commercialization, ensuring that they are aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in innovation, technology, or product development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in developing and launching innovative products or services.
- Experience in building and managing cross-functional teams.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in the industry.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
