WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

  • Prepare fiscal budgets, contracts and systems of administrative control for review of the respective Medical Director and approval by Administration.
  • Work in conjunction with the department Medical Directors, Radiologists, and other members of the Medical Staff in order to plan, develop, and implement department and administrative goals and objectives.
  • Develop and monitor departmental operating and capital budgets, for Diagnostic Radiology, Ultrasound, Vascular Ultrasound, MRI, CT, and Nuclear Medicine, in order to provide the appropriate utilization of resources and provide equipment consistent with Health Center strategic long-range plans.
  • Coordinate special projects, serve on hospital committees, participate in community education and hospital-wide in-service programs.
  • Adhere to the development of departmental Policies and Procedures and operations in order to maintain accreditation by regulatory agencies (HFAP, IEMA, ACR/FDA).
  • Provide administrative direction and control of all sections of Diagnostic Imaging Radiology, Computed Tomography, Ultrasound, Vascular Ultrasound, Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Nuclear Medicine. Responsible for assuring that all Departmental activities are appropriately directed.
  • Function with initiative and independent judgment in maintaining Hospital and Department standards of quality.


Qualifications

  • Nuclear Medicine Technician Certification Board (NMTCB) - Required - OR-
  • 2 years management or supervisory role Preferred
  • Preferred Master's Degree
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
  • Registered Ultrasonographer (ARDMS) - Required - AND-
  • Radiography (ARRT-R) - Required - OR-
  • Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nur (WOCN)
  • Required Bachelor's Degree
