Job Description

This executive will be results driven with a strong desire for continuous improvement. The successful candidate for this role will have previous global trading and supply chain experience. They must have direct experience in planning, directing, controlling, and implementing financially related activities with different kinds of products which are sold for consumer, business and government purposes. Specific financial areas of interest to include: accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, cash management, treasury, risk management, and financial/tax reporting functions.

This executive will promote teamwork and collaboration, quality performance standards, professionalism and integrity to ensure results are delivered in accordance with strategic plans, objectives and its customers’ contractual agreements. This role has operational, strategic and financial oversight for an effective operation of a global trading company business unit with all its operational complexities and supply chain challenges.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operations and Financial Strategy:

· Develops and evaluates short and long-term strategic financial objectives and monitors key performance indicators in support of company’s strategic direction.

· Directs and oversees all aspects of the accounting and treasury functions ensuring the company’s financial accounting and reporting is accurate and timely.

· Manages cash flow to meet operating needs and maintains reliable cash flow projections to optimize return on investments.

· Provides timely and accurate budgets, financial trends, and forecasts.

· Responsible for leading and assisting in the implementation of trade operations, new customer launches and business development initiatives.

· Sets the strategic plan and initiatives for the warehouse, customer service and administrative support to meet customer contractual and business unit standards.

· Influences the development of systems and procedures for operating and managing physical facilities, human capital, equipment, and products in a profitable manner.

· Strategic oversight for ensuring that staffing requirements for multiple locations are adequate to ensure daily production plans and customer product delivery requirements are met.

· Interact with and leverage opportunities to continually demonstrate the unit’s value proposition with existing clients, strategic suppliers and other customer prospects.

Day to Day

· Responsible for the planning, execution and results of the operational and customer satisfaction goals.

· Responsible for all aspects of logistics management to include Fulfillment, Reverse Logistics, Receiving, Inspection, Inventory Control, and Customer Returns to meet client contractual commitments and corporate performance standards.

· Develop and manage a system of controls to ensure that quality, service levels and operational performance goals are met within prescribed cost parameters and revenue requirements.

· Identify continuous improvement opportunities through employee engagement strategies resulting in cost savings, safety, quality and productivity improvements.

· Responsible for building leadership competencies with direct reports and front-line leaders to ensure that they are coaching employees to meet and exceed their productivity, quality metrics and customer satisfaction goals.

· Enforce established programs for maintaining company standards of sanitation, maintenance, security, housekeeping and safety.

· Ensure all operations are in compliance with regional, federal, state and local statutes.

· Ensure proper communication of customers’ quality and service standards to all employees.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

· BA/BS in Business, Engineering or related field. MBA or equivalent preferred.

· 10+ years' experience in multi-site, automated and labor-intensive distribution, logistics and overall supply chain operations.

· General management experience running a P&L in a high growth high performance company focused on driving profitable results and achieving superior customer satisfaction.

· Proven track record of seeking innovative, profitable solutions in challenging environments, and leveraging strategies to attain superior results and sustainable growth.

· Keen knowledge of how changes in any specific operation metric impacts overall performance.

· Strong background dealing with analytics and problem solving in a fast-paced operations environment

· Experience aligning performance for success in a high-performance environment by setting goals, establishing approach, creating a learning environment, collaboratively establishes development plans, tracks performance and effectively evaluates performance.

· Experience performing complex tasks or working on complex projects.

Leadership Skills: Execution and results focused above all else. Comfortable with fast paced, high growth environment. Hands-on leadership style. Ability to effectively supervise, inspire, and manage staff; able to provide organizational and individual direction, mentoring, and professional development for staff. Must be able to work effectively in a multiethnic environment with sensitivity to and respect for diverse cultures while managing remotely and onsite. Demonstrate a high degree of independent decision-making and initiative to support the mission.

Language Skills: This position requires the ability to analyze and interpret complex instructions, correspondence, legal documents, financial reports and technical documents. Must be able to respond effectively to clients, employees and executive leadership; as well as handle sensitive and confidential communications. Requires a high level of skill in both oral and written communication and the ability to effectively present ideas and information. Prefer a candidate fluent in English and one of the Asian languages, but willing to evaluate proficiency in additional languages.

Technical Skills: Intermediate computer skill including the MS office suite of programs. Ability to analyze financial results and develop ROI information on projects. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and to meet deadlines. Strong ability to analyze complex situations and develop/recommend solutions.

Travel: Ability to work and travel in multiple time zones and geographies while understanding and being sensitive to cultural differences especially in the ASEAN region.

Location: Ideal candidate has experience living and working in the ASEAN region. Candidate may be required to relocate internationally.
