Director Of Financial Planning And Analysis

The Director of Financial Reporting and Analysis is responsible for coordinating the annual budgeting process, monthly, quarterly and annual internal and external reporting, operating plan variance analyses and special projects across the Company’s club operations. This role will report to the Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis. In addition, this person will provide strategic support to senior management including preparing financial and operating metric presentations, capital expenditure analyses, evaluations of new business initiatives and other projects requested by senior management.

This function acts as the analytical engine of the company’s club operations to provide insight, support and optimal business decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis
• Prepare presentations to senior management.
• Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
• Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of club operations revenue, cost of sales, operating expenses and capital expenditures
• Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiency and enhance profitability
• Define and roll-out a consistent and robust reporting strategy across the company’s club operations.
• Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
• Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
• Oversee and manage the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan, Modeling tools and Internal and External Reporting
• Quarterly and Monthly Financial reports

Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of progressively increasing responsibility in financial analysis and management role
• Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA highly preferred
• Attention to detail
• In-depth knowledge in the interpretation and application of accounting principles and practices under GAAP
• Superior Excel and modeling skills
• Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong leadership, planning, communication, project management, organizational and coaching/development skills
• Strong understanding of Accounting and Finance concepts including hands-on experience with accounting software packages like Sage and Jonas
• Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
• Advanced skills in report development and data extraction; ability to integrate multiple inputs into a clear, concise, and useful recommendation or conclusion
