Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Director of Finance &Controlling in Kalamazoo, MI.
The Director of Finance & Controlling will be responsible for more than USD 500M in revenue with a team of 10 direct reports. You will be part of the United States OE Leadership Team and report to the VP Finance - Americas with a dotted line to the VP Americas Original Equipment, and VP Operations. Responsibilities will also include three manufacturing sites in the United States and business unit support for the commercial side of the business for North and South America.
Job Responsibilities
Business Partner
−Acting as Co-Pilot and Deputy to the Original Equipment and Operations VPs
−Brings together all financial aspects in the sense of a holistic view
−Advises and steers together with the VPs within the context of strategic, commercial, and financial goals / framework conditions and decisions to maximize value creation in the company
−Entrepreneurial management with liquidity related Key Performance Indicators ( e.g.: NWC, OCF, FCF, ROCE)
−Driver of companywide process optimization and digitization to increase efficiencies
− Proactively designing and optimizing local financial processes within group-wide standards and pushing forward on digitization

• Trustful and team-oriented cooperation with the Group. Able to thrive in a matrix organization

Scorekeeper

• Reporter with an eye to the future, who analyzes and reports all company key performance indicators for management and prepares reliable forecasts/budgets
• Ensuring efficient business processes and data transparency
• Responsible for all the legal entity financial processes ( incl. Accounting, financial performance accounting, balance sheet preparation, annual financial statements, external accounting, profitability analysis by customer/product, costing, investment management, financial and liquidity planning and forecasting, budgeting, taxes and NWC management)

Risk Manager

• Implementation of financial requirements from the HQ into a local financial strategy
• Identifies discrepancies between actual and target figures, supports the initiation process of defining counter measures and tracks their financial impact
• Ensuring implementation and adherence to Internal Controls
• Contact for internal and external auditors

Requirements
Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field
• Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience including commercial and financial team leadership ( min. of 4 direct reports)
• Previous experience working within a big matrix organization and multicultural international environment

Required Skills

• MS Office Suite ( including advanced Excel skills)
• Advanced SAP and P&L management and reporting skills
• Ability to travel up to 10% ( Domestic/International)

Preferred Degree & Skills

• Bi-lingual ( English/Spanish, English/Portuguese, or English/German)
• MBA
