Director Of Engineering Jobs

Your tasks

• Spearheading the industry in terms of technical trends, competitive performance and customer needs
• Drive innovation and strategic development of the Technology Center in alignment with the overall strategies for the addressed industries
• Supporting customer collaborations in the region
• Technical and disciplinary leadership of the R&D teams in our Technology Center covering diverse industries from Test & Measurement, Mobile Network Testing and Air Traffic Control
• Best practice sharing, and alignment of development processes with R&S R&D sites worldwide
• Establishing a network with local industry and universities
• Lead the R&D management team with a focus on cost & time lines, as well as ensuring high quality standards
• Workforce and project planning
• Heavily involved in the recruitment, selection and development of engineers

Your qualifications

• Willingness to travel internationally up to 20%
• More than five years of management experience as well as the ability to motivate R&D teams and to lead them confidently
• Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new, complex topics in connection with a high level of comprehension
• Experience in representing at industry bodies & technical consortia
• Strong communication skills
• BSEE or equivalent
• Qualified professional and industry experience in the field of electronic Test & Measurement, Mobile Network Testing or Air Traffic Control applications and software development
• To be considered, candidates must have US citizenship or permanent work authorization.

This is a full-time position with a base salary range of $160-280k plus bonus & benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, and job-related skills. Additionally, full relocation to the Portland, Oregon will be provided if necessary.
