The Goddard School in Falls Church is seeking a dynamic and creative leader for our management team. We are looking for a director who is passionate and enthusiastic about early childhood education as well as someone who can multitask in a lively environment, loves working with children from infancy to Pre-K and is excited about the prospect of building a community from the ground up.

To qualify for the position, one must:

● Have attained a minimum of a BA or BS Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education or related field

● Have 2+ years in Managerial Experience at a preschool setting

● Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills

● Possess strong leadership skills and a strong working knowledge of technology (devices and software)

● Be a detail oriented team builder who is committed to professional development

Responsibilities:

● Follow and enforce all rules and regulations pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children

● Your focus would be all aspects of the learning program – teacher support, curriculum implementation, summer camp/event planning, and so on

● Hire, train, retain high quality teachers

● Curriculum development and classroom support

● Organize and conduct monthly staff meetings

● Develop strong relationships with families

● Maintain the highest level of professional work behavior, attitude and appearance

● Support and implement professional development to our teachers (on-site and through other training providers)
