Job Description

Job Objective & Safety/Security Sensitive Designation

This position is designated as a safety/security sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol screening.
This position is not considered Essential Personnel under the LRCVB Inclement Weather policy.

JOB OBJECTIVE:
To develop, implement, and manage communication and media relations strategies in an effort to position Little Rock as a premier leisure, meeting and event destination for the Little Rock Convention and Visitor’s Bureau (LRCVB).

Minimum Qualifications, Additional Requirements and Supervisory Responsibilities

These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or a related area; four (4) years of professional-level experience in advertising, communications, marketing, public relations or related area; two (2) years of supervisory experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a valid Arkansas Class D (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver’s License before employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position. Must show proof of valid automobile insurance before being approved to drive any LRCVB vehicle.
Must be available to work outside of regular working hours including evenings, weekends and holidays and subject to on-call and callback as required.
Must be available to travel as required.
This position may require one or more of the following pre-employment screenings: drug and alcohol screening, or background investigation.

LRCVB Benefits - Full-Time Employees
Health Insurance – Cigna – Emp only cost per pay period Base Plan: $14.98; Buy-up Plan: $42.79. Two (2) plans to choose from: Base Plan (High Deductible); Buy-up Plan (Point of Service)

  • Effective 1st of the month following 30 days of regular full-time employment
  • Buy-up Plan: $1,500 deductible (in network), $35 co-pay for PCP - $60 co-pay for specialist; Prescription co-pays: $15, $35, $60 (Retail Specialty: $100 copay)
  • Base Plan: $2,000 deductible (in network), 100% after deductible
Dental Insurance – Emp: $0; Emp & Spouse: $11.22; Emp & Child: $15.68; Family = $29.80 per pay period
  • MetLife Dental - $50 deductible except for Preventative Services
  • $0 deductible for Preventative Services
  • Maximum of $1,000 annual benefit per person per calendar year
  • Effective 1st of the month following 30 days of regular full-time employment
Vision Insurance – Emp: $2.81; Emp & Spouse, Emp & Child and Family: $6.59 per pay period
  • Or – Contact Lens - $130 allowance for contacts
  • Effective 1st of the month following 30 days of regular full-time employment
  • $130 allowance for frames (once every 24 month frames/12 month lenses)
  • MetLife Vision - $0 deductible – co-pays and allowances; $10 co-pay for well vision exam (once every 12 months) plus $25 co-pay for materials lenses & frames or up to $60 co-pay for contact lens fitting & evaluation
Life Insurance – LRCVB pays employee premium (dependent life not offered)
  • 2 times annual salary rounded to the nearest thousands of coverage to a maximum of $350,000
  • Effective 1st of the month following 30 days of regular full-time employment
Accidental Death and Dismemberment – LRCVB pays employee premium
  • Effective 1st of the month following 30 days of regular full-time employment
  • 2 times annual salary rounded to the nearest thousands of coverage
Long Term Disability – LRCVB pays employee premium
  • Effective the first day of the month following 30 days of regular full-time employment.
Pension – Automatic enrollment, effective the first day of regular full-time employment
  • Defined Benefits Plan: 4.5% employee contribution/9% employer contribution
  • Vested after 5 years of service; Normal retirement age is 65.
Flexible Spending Account / Health Savings Account –
  • FSA – can enroll at Open Enrollment or after one year of service
  • Choose from FSA (with Buy-up Plan), HSA (with Base Plan) or Dependent Care Expenses,
  • HSA – can enroll during initial enrollment period or at Open Enrollment
Deferred Compensation – Arkansas Diamond Plan - employee contribution only, no employer contribution.

Voluntary Supplement Coverage – AFLAC (accident, cancer, etc.) voluntary insurance for employee, spouse and/or child(ren).
Tuition Assistance – $1,000 per semester, up to $3,000 per calendar year, available after 6 months of employment.
