Job Description
PhotoShelter is a leading Digital Asset Management (DAM) that helps marketing and creative teams manage their assets online. Nearly 2,000 brands rely on PhotoShelter to get their creative content to their audience, including Delta, the Boston Red Sox, the University of Florida, the Special Olympics, FreshDirect and more.


As the Director of Communication and Content you will play a critical role in shaping and executing our brand and communication strategy while developing high-quality content that resonates with our customers, partners, and the market. You will lead a team of talented professionals and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to effectively position our brand, drive engagement, and increase sales.


What we're looking for:


You should bring a proven track record of success in B2B SaaS communication and content development. Your areas of responsibility will include delivering on the following areas:


  • Create and measure impact: Utilize data-driven insights to measure and analyze the effectiveness of communication and content strategies, making recommendations for continuous improvement. Stay up-to-date with the latest communication trends, tools, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Communication and campaigns: Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with the company’s vision and business objectives. Lead the execution of impactful campaigns that enhance brand awareness, drive customer acquisition, and strengthen customer loyalty.
  • Press and industry relations: Establish and maintain relationships with media outlets, industry influencers, and strategic partners to maximize brand exposure and secure relevant coverage and partnerships. Manage the creation and distribution of press releases, media relations and crisis communication to protect and enhance the company’s reputation.
  • Management: Manage, guide, and mentor various internal and external resources to execute your plan, while balancing the communication and content budget. Work cross-functionally with various teams, including sales, product, the rest of the marketing group and senior leadership to ensure consistent messaging and position across all communication channels.
  • Content development: Oversee the development of engaging and impactful content across various channels, including blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, videos, webinars, and social media, to establish through leadership and educate our target audience.
  • Social media: Amplify our brand message and engage with our audience through various social media channels. Continuously improve PhotoShelter’s social media presence and impact.
  • SEO: Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy to increase organic traffic, search engine rankings, and inbound leads. Conduct keyword research, optimize content for relevant keywords, and ensure proper metadata, headings, and formatting are in place.


Requirements


  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and leadership skills.
  • 7+ years of professional B2B SaaS content, communication or brand experience
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing impactful content and communication campaigns that drive measurable results.
  • Excellence in coaching and educating others, while continuing to accept feedback and learn.
  • Strong process and analytical skills.
  • Experience in the Digital Asset Management space or marketing to creative and communication teams is a plus.
  • Proven record of cross-functional collaboration.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

**Candidates must either work on the East Coast of the US or be willing to work East Coast hours.**

  • Compensation range for this role is $130k - $160k annual salary, plus bonus incentive.
