POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Director provides the leadership, strategic planning and effective management of the clinical services offered at the facility to support the delivery of quality behavioral health care and service to patients in the acute inpatient and outpatient setting. Develops and implements Performance Improvement and strategic initiatives to support and meet the needs of patients, the community and continued growth and to maintain and support compliance with the facility’s performance goals and objectives. Maintains effective working relationships with physicians, directors, managers and line staff to ensure the delivery of optimal patient care. The Clinical Director will assume a caseload, smaller in size than the other clinicians, and will assist as needed with case management.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, social work, or related mental health field; Masters Degree preferred.
Experience: Shall have at least (3) years of postgraduate direct clinical experience with the mentally disordered.
License: Appropriate state licensure/credentials as a health professional, and a valid driver’s license is required.
Additional Requirements: A strong knowledge of NAPHS, Title XXII, CMS, OSHA regulations, patient rights standards and all other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.
