As the Director of Capital Formation, you will play a critical role in driving our fundraising efforts and managing investor relationships. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive capital formation strategy to attract high-quality institutional and individual investors, expand our investor base, and secure funding for our portfolio companies. Additionally, you will serve as a trusted advisor to our existing investors, ensuring strong communication,

reporting, and transparency.

They are looking for someone who has direct capital raising experience and a proven track record of bringing in capital. This role will sit at the partner level.

Director of Capital Formation Responsibilities:

• Identify and cultivate relationships with potential investors, presenting investment opportunities and effectively articulating the value proposition of the firm
• Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact fundraising efforts, adjusting strategies as needed.
• Lead the end-to-end fundraising process, including preparing marketing materials, managing due diligence, negotiating terms, and closing investor commitments.
• Collaborate closely with the investment team to understand the unique selling points of our portfolio companies and effectively communicate these to prospective investors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing investors, acting as the primary point of contact for investor inquiries, updates, and reporting.
• Develop and implement a proactive and results-driven capital formation strategy to raise capital from institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.

Director of Capital Formation Qualifications:

• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to evaluate investment opportunities and assess their potential for success.
• Deep understanding of the technology industry and familiarity with the investment landscape in sectors such as software, enterprise technology, healthcare IT, or cybersecurity.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field. MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully raising capital and closing deals in a competitive fundraising environment.
• Strong network of institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals in the technology and venture capital ecosystem.
• Proven experience in capital formation, fundraising, investor relations, or related roles within the venture capital or private equity industry.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex investment concepts to diverse audiences.
