Job Summary

The Director, OEM Engagement is responsible for owning the strategic account relationship, overall account strategy and driving collaboration and alignment around the opportunities between FordDirect and Ford.

This role operates primarily in the early phases, where new ideas are explored and discovered, keeping alignment between Ford’s business objectives and FordDirect objectives the top priority. The Director, OEM Engagement will communicate and collaborate between Ford and internal FordDirect teams, clarifying objectives.


Essential Functions

  1. Strive to have deep knowledge of the Ford business, collaborating to define objectives and facilitate discussions with Ford about new opportunities to work together.
  2. Collaborate with internal teams to document roadmaps, corresponding performance measurements and new strategic opportunities.
  3. Develop strong relationships with multi-level Ford contacts and stay ‘one step ahead,’ acting as a true business partner.
  4. Participate in Dealer events to gather insight for overall account strategy improvement.
  5. Utilize business and consumer insight to create recommendations through written proposals to meet Ford’s business needs.
  6. Work with internal teams to create and deliver presentations that provide insights, recommendations, and solutions to Ford
  7. Identify and resolve or escalate potential issues that can affect the successful delivery of a Ford solution.
  8. Participate in account financial meetings which includes estimates, SOWs, invoices, profitability, and reconciliations.
  9. Prepare reports on progress, finance, management, and evaluation to demonstrate the success of Ford.
  10. Manage and coach team members for role performance, career progression and skill development if required (i.e., set goals, provide performance feedback, and conduct performance reviews).

Experience

  • Hands-on digital strategy experience in an automotive Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 environment (7+ years).
  • Managing up to $20M in revenue.
  • Digital marketing (10+ years).
  • Account management with success in introducing digital marketing concepts to customers (10+ years).
  • Managing 5-10 direct reports.
  • Performance-based marketing (7+ years).
  • Partnering with high-profile customers and some C-level on large, key accounts (10+ years).


Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Exceptional interpersonal and business communication skills (written, verbal, listening).
  • Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • The drive to identify and seize opportunities for continuous improvement as business needs change.
  • Solid people management skills and the ability to create a motivational environment for team members.
  • Ability to develop and incorporate ideas from inception to completion within a wider, integrated marketing strategy.
  • Excellent organization, flexibility and time management skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of the digital marketplace, including online/offline marketing, branding theories and the web development process.
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgment, high ethics, and project a professional image.
  • Strong understanding of content strategy recommendations to capture targeted audience.
  • A positive approach to serving customers and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of Ford and FordDirect products and roadmaps.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence Ford and FordDirect teams.
  • Follow-through mindset to uphold a ‘close the loop’ culture.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of HR-related principles such as goal setting, discrete communication, and performance management and feedback.
  • Proactively problem-solve and multitask while maintaining composure and attention to detail.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Technology, or equivalent combination of work experience and education
