The Role


This is a new senior leadership role responsible for the delivery of all Digital Therapeutics activities within the Pharmanovia group.


Primary Objectives Of The Role Will Be
  • Co-ordination of internal and external experts: e.g. commercial/marketing, scientific affairs and regulatory
  • Reimbursement and market access discussions
  • Drive delivery across key challenges for the business in Pharmanovia:
  • Regulatory conversations and submissions related to first in class digital therapeutics
  • Project management of digital therapeutics, regulated software-as-a-medicine and hardware (e.g. wearable integration) patient facing innovations
  • Clinical requirements, including bibliographic evidence, real world evidence (RWE) and distributed clinical trials
Secondary objectives of the role will be:


  • Co-ordination of early-stage evaluations of potential new technologies and digital health innovator partners, to validate opportunities
  • Development and management of clearly articulated product development plans with input from relevant functions
  • Developing business cases and commercial go-to-market strategies for digital therapeutics, leveraging internal and external expert resource
  • Building and leading a specialised team over time to include a broad skillset for digital therapeutics including digital product development, regulatory (digital and drug), partnering, commercialisation, biostatistics, medical, clinical development (real world evidence/clinical study design and execution), data science, market access, medical writing, and project management
  • Attendance at conferences and events to drive perception of Pharmanovia as a thought leader and pioneer in digital health
  • Validation of Target Product Profiles with KOLs, payers and/or patient groups in liaison with medical


This role will report into the company’s Chief Digital Officer.


The Digital Therapeutics Team is a new function within the business that the candidate will have the opportunity to create and shape.


You will have an excellent opportunity for cross functional project collaboration covering all areas of our rapidly growing business. Specific development plans will be created to develop the candidate’s project management, technical and managerial skills as part of the role. You will have relevant experience in digital health, and a good working understanding of navigating the complex evolving commercial, regulatory, reimbursement and clinical environment around digital health.


The department has an ethos of continuous improvement, refining systems and creating efficiencies. This, along with the rapid growth of the business, leads to a varied and dynamic working environment.


Main Responsibilities


  • Oversight of all digital health projects to ensure delivery in-line with agreed timelines and objectives.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert where required on digital health matters
  • Liaise with CDO to support definition & build of strategy in digital health.
  • Recruit & manage new team members and provide daily oversight and long-term development plans.
  • Reporting of activities to monthly Digital Projects Steering Committee
  • Organisation of project-specific meetings and maintenance of appropriate project tracking tools and platforms (RAID Log, Gannt Charts, RAG status etc)
  • Plan long-term organisational structure and roadmap for Digital Therapeutics
  • Run regular business reviews to understand business issues can be tackled with innovative digital health.
  • Ensure knowledge is up to date on latest developments in digital health space that could be applicable to Pharmanovia.
  • Implement and maintain robust project assessment process
  • Alignment and oversight of digital therapeutics budget and workload to ensure sufficient inter-departmental visibility of upcoming projects to allocate resources (headcount & spend) to meet the forward schedule of change
  • Organisation of Change and Release with appropriate SME assignment and collision detection.
  • Project owner for all Digital Health innovations, including Digital Therapeutics, Wearables and regulated technology integrations
About you:


  • Knowledge of drug / medical device development and common project management methodologies desirable
  • High level of spoken and written English

  • Scientific rigour in your approach to problem solving
  • Experience in regulated digital healthcare, understanding of digital therapeutics

This is a full time, permanent position. There is a requirement to travel for project specific duties.
