Job Description

Phathom Pharmaceuticals is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of novel treatments for gastrointestinal (GI) diseases. We are developing vonoprazan, a first-in-class potassium-competitive acid blocker (PCAB) with a New Drug Application under review by the FDA for the treatment of Erosive GERD and a late-stage development program in Non-Erosive GERD. Vonoprazan-based regimens are approved in the U.S. as part of a co-packaged product in combination with antibiotics for the treatment of H. pylori infection in adults, marketed as VOQUEZNA® TRIPLE PAK® (vonoprazan, amoxicillin, clarithromycin) and VOQUEZNA DUAL PAK® (vonoprazan, amoxicillin).

The Director HEOR is responsible for developing insights, facts, and data to support the VOQUEZNA value proposition. Accountability will be to ensure a successful development, refinement and execution of a value driven strategy, tools, and resources that address health outcome and economic opportunities. This role will partner with cross functional teams to contribute to overall brand success.


ACCOUNTABILITIES


Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:


· Develop or refine an HEOR strategy that fully compliments the value proposition


· Conceptualize and execute HEOR studies that are consistent with brand strategy


· Work with external databases to analyze and distill learnings for internal understanding and value communications


· Work with the broader Access Team to improve the product value dossier as necessary


· Vision and oversight of cost models and/or HTA submissions


· Contribute to clinical trial protocol development by adding input on PRO and other measures that will be relevant to payers.


· Partner with Medical Affairs Team in building an integrated plan, including customer interface and publications


· Build, manage and defend the HEOR operating budget


· Interface with customers as needed to deliver key data


· Member of Market Access Leadership Team


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE


· M.S., Ph.D, or PharmD required.


· 10 or more years of broad industry experience, including 5 years of US market access experience preferred


· Experience in contributing to publication strategy and execution


· Experience in concepting, designing and managing claims analyses supporting strategy and working with vendors as needed.


· Led the development and execution of real-world studies (e.g. in-market, claims data)


· Understanding of cost effectiveness model development and application


· Understanding of HTA process, readiness, and implications


· Understands ongoing healthcare environment and differing public policies that could alter future pricing and reimbursement landscape


· Collaborative mindset to work across marketing, market research, and medical to deliver on access priorities


· Quantitative and analytical problem solving for understanding and modeling key tradeoffs


· Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to effectively and efficiently drive performance


· Excellent written and oral communication skills required
