Role Summary

As the Global Lean Director for Hollister Incorporated, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization's global operations. Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Engineering Technology, you will be responsible for leading and implementing Lean methodologies, practices, and strategies to enhance operational efficiency, optimize processes, and deliver exceptional value to customers. You will collaborate with global cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, champion Lean thinking, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive cultural transformation by promoting a Lean mindset throughout the organization, encouraging problem-solving, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and operational excellence across different functions and regions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to Lean methodologies and process improvement, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation.
  • Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to integrate Lean principles into the supply chain and ensure a holistic approach to operational improvement.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages continuous learning, sharing of best practices, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Lead, mentor, and guide cross-functional teams to implement Lean methodologies, tools, and practices to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Provide leadership and direction for Lean workshops, training programs, and initiatives to build Lean capabilities within the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to establish Lean goals, KPIs, and performance metrics, and regularly report progress and results.
  • Develop and execute the global Lean strategy, aligning it with the company's long-term vision and business objectives.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Willingness to travel internationally and domestically 30-40% of the time.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing Lean transformations, resulting in significant operational improvements and cost savings.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Change management expertise, with the ability to navigate and guide teams through organizational transformations.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience (8+ years) in Lean process improvement, preferably within a global manufacturing or medical device environment.
  • Relevant Lean certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Black Belt) are highly desirable.
