You will be responsible for the overall financial integrity and performance of a specific Category. In this role, you will deliver detailed business plans within set targets and monitor the execution and/or adaptation of those steps. You will also be responsible for managing a finance team and engagement in local teams.


How You Will Contribute


You will:


  • Manage finance planning and performance management team/activities and related financial decisions including strategic plan and annual contract planning/forecasting, target development, financial performance reporting/analysis, financial modeling and decision support for a Category team.
  • Drive a strong controls and compliance environment at Mondelēz International. You will also ensure that policies are understood in the organization and that proper controls and compliance are in place.
  • Build a high-performing Finance team. You will also recruit and develop Finance talent and drive our Finance talent agenda with a focus on the region/business unit pipeline.
  • Partner with the business providing critical financial perspective and insight for business strategies and decisions. You will also monitor and adjust execution of actions.
  • Drive for harmonization, efficiencies and improvements to ways of working and build a mindset of continuous improvement within the Finance team.

  • LEADERSHIP SKILLS including proven business partnering, influencing and communication skills across a large regional (or global), public company; experience working as a finance leader managing cross-functional and business partner teams to make decisions and drive execution to deliver results.
  • BUSINESS ACUMEN and understanding of our business, consumer packaged goods industry, and snacking market including local customer/channel dynamics. Relevant experience in a large regional (or global) corporation.
  • INTEGRITY and sound judgement in all decisions and interactions aligned with our values and policies and external regulations.
  • TECHNICAL EXPERTISE in financial planning and performance management including analyzing, planning and reporting company financial performance across all financial KPIs and strategy development, investment decisions and cost management to achieve financial targets.


The Director, FP&A will work on key initiatives to accelerate the acquisition growth, driving financial achievement, cost reduction and optimal business decision making.


Key responsibilities:


  • Integration lead for new business ventures: Actively lead Integration activities of new business ventures to harmonize standardize ways of working across category finance.
  • Lead Strat Plan and full potential P&L process
  • Work on strategic pricing and pack size architecture contributing to the development of a clear roadmap for pack types and price points
  • Track key ‘game changing’ initiatives to ensure rapid progress against key milestones and financial targets
  • Drive plans to ‘fix’ key profitability issues (e.g., Oreo, Club, IC) generating ‘radical’ productivity ideas
  • Perform insightful analysis around EVA (pricing, mix, PNOC, cost rate) including clear linkage to the P&L
  • Drive favorable mix shift by influencing A&C and trade investments, championing the waste agenda and rigorously managing the pipeline (including support for key ARs)
  • Drive SKU rationalization agenda

  • Strategic player – Strong with analysis –Pricing, business model decisions, problem analysis and resolution. Ability to think creatively and have foresight regarding long term financial impact of decisions
  • Ability to effectively interact with others and influence the organization at all levels


Qualifications:


  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and work under pressure, managing multiple and changing priorities
  • Strong team player who manages collaboratively with all stakeholders
  • Self-starter
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required, MBA preferred
  • Outstanding analytical mindset with a desire to find the hidden opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings
  • Outstanding leadership skills
  • Experience managing a team is required
  • Strong influencing and communication skills, and ability to lead informal teams
  • Extremely systems savvy with exceptional Excel skills
  • Minimum of 12 or more years of Finance management experience
  • Ability to communicate analysis in a clear, succinct and persuasive manner to all levels of the organization
  • Prior Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience is strongly preferred / required
  • Strong business acumen, experience with business analysis and financial reporting
