The Director of Flight Training Continuous Improvement leads the team responsible for ­driving process and technology change in the Flight Training organization.
What You'll Do
As noted above, this list is intended to reflect the current job but there may be additional essential functions (and certainly non-essential job functions) that are not referenced.   • Leads, coordinates, and oversees the effort to establish and maintain innovative and reliable technology solutions and process enhancements to satisfy the needs of the Flight Training and Flight Standards Scheduling team serving as the liaison between Business, IT, and Operations Research partners.
  • Leads a group of project managers, product owners, and technical analysts to improve the pilot supply chain, tracking, and efficiencies of the entire pilot training process from Indoctrination Training, through Pilot Ground School training, Simulator Training, and Operational Experience.
  • Monitors potential industry and regulatory changes which may impact pilot training
  • Grows and builds a diverse leadership team through coaching, development, and creating opportunities. Identifies and nurtures high potential leaders.
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
  • 7 years of leadership experience
  • Demonstrates the highest level of ethics and integrity
  • 5 years of airline experience focusing on airline operations, flight operations management, and flight training systems
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training; Advanced degree
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), Flight Operating Manual (FOM), and Advanced Qualification Program (AQP)
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex, technical topics to a wide variety of audiences, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work with technology groups in the development of new systems and tools to improve Flight Training Department systems and efficiencies
  • Ability to think strategically, negotiate skillfully, digest complex details, and use sound judgment and initiative in making decisions
