Job Description

Korn Ferry has recently launched a retained search with a global consumer and commercial services company with campuses in metro Atlanta. This hire will oversee the Corporate Services department to include management of all building facilities, grounds, landscaping, and equipment within all buildings, including preventative maintenance, repair, remodeling, and future new construction if proposed. This position is a customer facing position which requires maintaining existing programs/services and recommending new proposed changes that enhance work environments, improve employee safety and productivity, and maintain capital assets with proper repairs. This position will interact with employees at all levels of the organization and is highly visible to executive leadership.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in and prepare yearly budget that provides a high level of service in a cost-effective manner with data and analytics to support justification of future expenses.
  • Provide project management oversight to all capital improvements which includes defining scope and objectives, involving stakeholders, and ensuring feasibility.
  • Present capital improvement projects as necessary to maintain the structural integrity, appearance, and safety of the building.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Develop and implement a buildings and grounds maintenance program using historic records, replacement schedules, and periodic inspection with appropriate staff.
  • Lead a team of up to ~20 direct reports dedicated to building and grounds maintenance with a cohesive team culture in keeping with company core values.
  • Manage vendors to ensure adherence to agreed-upon service level agreements, review and approve contracts and facilitate RFP process for the better of the company.
  • Provide a comfortable, clean, and safe working environment for all employees.
  • Provide space management within all buildings which includes allocation, renovation, and relocations.
  • Ensure systems, policies and procedures are in place, communicated and regularly tested.
  • Ensure exterior grounds and landscaping are maintained at the highest level of appearance.
  • Maintain historic buildings with great attention to detail including proactive preventative maintenance and timely repairs to tickets


Background Requirements

  • Candidate should have broad knowledge as it relates to HVAC, plumbing, structural repairs, and landscaping (exterior) maintenance oversight.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field with at least 10 years of corporate Facility Management including building maintenance, preservation of historic architecture, landscaping, security, and related services.
  • The ideal candidate will have vendor relationships in the Atlanta market and demonstrate a high level of professionalism with internal and external customers.
  • Must possess strong customer service communication skills and ability to interact with C-Suite executives located on property. This hire will work closely with the executives to develop and monitor Facilities Management operating and capital budgets of $5M+.
  • Those with Military leadership experience are highly desired.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft suite of products, CAD software and ticket management software.
