Director of Business Operations


North American Bancard - Troy, MI


Reporting to the SVP, Engineering & Operations, the Director of Business Operations provides leadership, decision making, and strategic direction to the Deployment team, who are responsible for the order fulfillment, equipment and supplies purchasing, equipment refurbishment, vendor and supplier relationship management and merchant returns management for North American Bancard and supported entities.


The Director of Business Operations ensures the department’s operation is held to the highest standard of product delivery and customer satisfaction.


What you'll do:


  • Oversee and provide direction on the staffing, training, coaching and development of the Deployment team.
  • Develop and execute short and long-term business plans for creating scalability to handle the next growth phase.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers and vendors, and represent NAB’s best interests in pricing and contract negotiations.
  • Oversee third-party deployment and returns programs.
  • Develop and implement cost-effective systems for distribution of inventory via order and returns management.
  • Lead Request for Quote (RFQ) process for deployment-supporting suppliers and vendors under consideration.
  • Develop and implement warehouse and logistics/distribution.
  • Guide best practices and inventory management strategies, and drive decisions to purchase terminals, supplies, products and materials to support deployment activities.
  • Direct inventory management processes including costs and forecasting.
  • Coordinate with management across departments to ensure company objectives and deadlines are met.


What we need from you:


  • Proficiency in office software programs.
  • Consistently meet expectations and needs of internal and external customers.
  • Ability to establish clear responsibilities and processes for monitoring work and measuring results.
  • Plans and prioritizes work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem solving skills to organize complex and high quantity information to effectively solve problems
  • Experience in Inventory/Order Management/Warehouse operations software (Experience with Fishbowl a plus).
  • 3+ years of experience in Fulfillment Management.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience.
  • Provides appropriate guidance, direction and delegation based on team capabilities.
  • 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain/Operations.
  • Skillfully navigates through complex problems by anticipating needs and gaining support from stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively communicate to all team members and leadership.
  • Ability to support and implement systems to support a fast growing organization.
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations or related field, or equivalent experience.


Travel: Up to 15%
