How You Get To Use Your Skills

• Play a valuable role in establishing and sustaining an individualized program focus with communication and relationship building with caregivers and family members.
• Providedirect care, individual-specific programming, and supervision to one or more assigned individuals from the I/DD population
• Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals while supporting their personal needs, recreation, and socialization activities to meet the goals and objectives of the Service Plan
• Bring your support, acceptance, and joy to share each day

Schedule

• Sunday - OFF
• Wednesday - 1:30 - 9:30
• Monday - OFF
• Friday - 9:00 PM - 9:00 AM
• Saturday - 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM
• Tuesday - OFF
• Thursday - 1:30 - 9:30

Required Experience

• High School Diploma with one year of experience working with I/DD population
• Valid NYS Drivers License
• Within a designated period after hiring, must obtain and maintain certification in OPWDD Medication Administration, First Aid, CPR, SCRP-R, and other certifications mandated by licensing agencies
• Respects individuals as persons of dignity and worth who are capable of growth and development, and enjoys working in a life-sharing relationship with others

Physical Requirements

• Lifting up to 50 pounds
• Time on your feet for up to several hours a day
• Time driving and/or taking public transportation to assist the individual with their valued outcomes.
