Job Description

We are confidentially seeking an experienced Director of Operations to oversee a 100-person manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and be able to implement them effectively to ensure operational efficiency, quality, and safety across all locations. Machining experience would also be very helpful.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Develop and manage budgets for all plants, ensuring that they are operating within their allocated resources.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all plants are meeting production targets while maintaining high levels of quality and safety.
  • Develop and implement Lean Manufacturing strategies to optimize plant operations and reduce waste.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the plant ensuring that they are operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Work closely with the managers to identify areas for improvement and develop and implement plans to address them.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and teamwork across all plants.

Qualifications:

  • Experience managing multiple manufacturing sites across different locations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles and their successful implementation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a senior operations role, preferably in the automotive industry.
