Role Summary:
This is a direct-hire role representing Saks.com in a 3PL site. The primary responsibility of the Sr. Manager, Operations is to provide leadership and direction of the 3PL including inbound, outbound, ICQA functions. Responsible for overall CPU performance of the 3PL business. This position is responsible for the overall productivity, performance, and accuracy of these areas of the operation in the 3PL.
Key Qualifications:
- 3-7 years of experience in fulfillment center operations with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership capacity.
- Knowledge of WMS systems, RF technology, and Quality measurements & processes.
- Effectively interact in a team environment with senior leadership, peer group, and relate to and motivate an hourly and salaried associate team.
- Proficient with using MS Office/Google GSuite applications to process and present data.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills with all levels within the organization including employees, direct reports, cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
- Flexibility in working different shift schedules to include weekends.
- Must have experience building and managing labor plans to support the customer SLAs
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
- Knowledge of automated order fulfillment systems, e.g. tilt tray sortation, ASRS, pick-to-light, pack-to-light, carrousel, A-Frame, etc.
- BA /BS degree in a business-related field required, preferably in Supply Chain Management.
- Lean Six Sigma or Green Belt Certification a plus.
Role Description:
- Make recommendations and assist in formulation of departmental objectives, policies, and plans.
- Plan, examine, analyze and evaluate fulfillment center operations with respect to productivity standards, safety, and customer support.
- Mentor and develop manager and lead talent to build bench strength.
- Responsible for assisting in the creation and implementation of training programs for associates to include improving communication between departments and associate development of supervisory skills, interpersonal skills, and technical skills.
- Leverage Lean Six Sigma principles to identify and resolve operational problems, ensuring company standards are met and/or exceeded.
- Evaluate current procedures, determining opportunities for continuous improvement and implementing updated processes.
- Provide leadership to a team of Managers and Leads.
