Job Description
Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a 365-entertainment destination for world-class events located in Austin, TX. The sports and entertainment portfolio at COTA is unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR, and MotoGP attracting global fans during championship races on the famed Circuit and Live Nation producing over 30 headline concerts every year at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater.
Seeking a creative and self-motivated Digital Marketing Coordinator. As an important member of our team, you'll work side-by-side with our marketing, sales, event, and sponsorship teams to assist in the launching of omnichannel marketing campaigns across all paid, owned, and earned channels.
Essential Functions
  • Continuously update and maintain key digital channels with relevant event information including, but not limited to, the chatbot, interactive map, and COTA app
  • Assist in uploading web assets into CMS and prepare the COTA site for campaign launches
  • Assist in planning and coordination of key assets for all COTA event marketing plans
  • Draft, build, and create email marketing campaigns in Ticketmaster Engagement
  • Coordinate the delivery of key marketing assets to vendors, partners, and media channels
  • Own, track, and coordinate the marketing comp ticket trade program with media vendors
  • Manage, catalog, and document photos and multimedia assets on the COTA server
  • Own the internal purchasing approval process and ensure documentation is submitted on time
  • Manage, segment, and clean the email marketing database to ensure all subscribers are current
  • Report weekly marketing analytics for key department and company stakeholders
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Excellent visual, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, advertising, or similar field
  • 1+ years of experience in social media/digital marketing
  • Attention to detail and deadline oriented
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms and trends.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends for events as needed
  • Thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced event environment
  • Working knowledge of PPT and Keynote
  • Some weekend work, holidays, and non-traditional hours required

  • Demonstrated project management background
  • Incredibly strong attention to detail (this is key)
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and implement actionable plans to drive business results
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Outstanding communication, relationship-building, influencing, and collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to work independently
Work Environment
This position breakdown will be a variety of office work and event operations. Office work entails computer usage, interdepartmental meetings and communications via email, phone, and in person, and sorting and filing paperwork. Events may occur outdoors with movement between temporary structures, buildings, and different terrains.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 25 lbs.
  • The noise level in the work environment can range from moderate to loud.
  • Able to be outside for prolonged periods during events.
  • Periods of standing, moving through an event space and traveling throughout the entire venue with bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
