Apprenticeship Overview
Position Summary
The Digital Marketer Apprenticeship is an entry-level position within Merck geared toward building upon the foundations of a career as a Digital Marketer. As an Apprentice, you will complete the OpenClassrooms Digital Marketer Registered Apprenticeship training while simultaneously working for Merck. You will earn a stipend during the training program. The program rhythm consists of one day of online technical training, working one-on-one with a mentor, and four days of on-the-job training per week.
The 15-month competency-based training includes a 3-month intensive Bootcamp to build core skills and introduce tools and technology that will be used through the apprenticeship training program and 12 months of technical training.

Apprentice Responsibilities:
The work-study program participant will have the following responsibilities as part of the technical and work-study program:
- Collaborate with others to determine design specifications or details.
- Analyze market or customer-related data.
- Recommend changes to improve computer or information systems.
- Develop specifications or procedures for website development or maintenance.
- Develop computer or information security policies or procedures.
- Prepare graphics or other visual representations of information.
- Collaborate with others to develop or implement marketing strategies.
- Maintain the inventory of equipment.
- Develop guidelines for system implementation.
- Design computer modeling or simulation programs.
- Develop performance metrics or standards related to information technology.
- Analyze websites or related online data to track trends or usage.
- Coordinate project activities with other personnel or departments.
- Write computer programming code.
- Provide customer service to clients or users.
- Implement advertising or marketing initiatives.
- Coordinate resource procurement activities.
- Evaluate the utility of software or hardware technologies.
- Update knowledge about emerging industry or technology trends.
- Design websites or web applications.
Qualifications:
For eligibility, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Note: First three months will be remote training, then shift to the worksite.
- Able to work (on-site/hybrid) within the Merck Upper Gwynedd location
- Education- Client specific: Have a high school diploma, vocational certificate, or equivalent. With the highest qualification, an associate's degree or some college level.
- Availability to train for 15 months: 3 months Bootcamp(remote) + 12 months apprenticeship program (on-site/hybrid).
- Language: Have a strong verbal and written level of English (for non-native speakers, a CEFR level of B2, an IELTS band score of 6.5, or a TOEFL score of 80 is recommended).
- Be over 18 years of age. Be a U.S. citizen and have the right to work in the U.S.

- OpenClassrooms Course certificate: Discover Digital Marketing.
