Blue Corona is one of the fastest growing online marketing and analytics companies in the country with offices in Gaithersburg, MD and Charlotte, NC. We help business owners accurately measure and track their advertising and marketing strategies and generate a greater return on investment from their website(s). We provide a wide range of digital marketing services including: search engine optimization (SEO), paid search (PPC), social media, web design, mobile marketing, and more. Our services are in high demand, and we’re currently searching for an "A player" to join our team.

As a Digital Designer, you will collaborate, concept, and execute projects that range from website design, mobile design, and eCommerce design to brand development, digital advertising campaigns, banner promotions, emails, and landing pages. To succeed in this role, you should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment and be able to manage working with multiple clients through a variety of mediums. The right candidate will be hungry for growth and learning, understands the importance of user experience, and knows how to balance functionality with design. Strong digital and print design and typography skills are a must.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the team on custom website designs and execution of HTML/CSS/Javascript/Wordpress-based templates
• Work with the team on concept and execution of brand development needs for clients, including any supporting print collateral
• Troubleshoot HTML, CSS, JQuery and/or JavaScript as necessary

Required Skills/Experience:

• Bachelors degree in a digital design related field
• Experience with front-end UX design and Photoshop slicing
• Ability to maintain high level of attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Thorough understanding of responsive design principles with the ability to implement them
• Proficient knowledge of core design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• 1-2 years experience in a digital environment
• Ability to create web layouts and wireframes and to work in existing templates
• Ability to balance projects and manage time efficiently
• Strong working knowledge of WordPress CMS
• Working knowledge of well-crafted HTML/CSS and HTML5
• Thorough understanding of print design principles

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Basic knowledge of JavaScript with the ability to manipulate existing code
• Demonstrates experience with qualitative and quantitative user research methods
• Basic knowledge of PHP
• Ability to animate graphics in After Effects or similar program
