Job Description

MPF Federal is seeking a DevSecOps Subject Matter Expert to support a division under the DoD. In this position, you will develop lectures, cases, simulations, and workshops. Will also require extensive experience, knowledge, and application of modern software development methods such as but not limited to: Agile, Development, Security and Operations (DevSecOps), software assurance, and provenance for large and complex military systems. Military systems include non-embedded combat, combat support and combat service support systems (National Security Systems (NSS)), C5ISR systems (NSS), and Defense Business Systems (DBS). Applicant will also help prepare DevSecOps reports, white papers, and presentations as required.

This role requires the ability to work during core business hours 9 am-3 pm, Monday – Friday.

Salary ranges from $175,000 - $180,000

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Create courseware to Agile pilot programs. This includes.Initial Agile assessment
  • Demonstrated software assurance, design, planning, provenance, testing, implementation, and maintenance efforts to support the planning and execution of acquisition programs from a government or industry perspective
  • Provides live demonstrations, and helps lead and facilitate student discussions, problem-solving, and presentations.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in developing and acquiring software for National Security Systems (NSS) (GOTS and some COTS) or Defense Business Systems (DBS) (ERP COTS and some GOTS) programs or industry equivalent
  • Test Automation experience especially with Test-Driven Development (TDD), Acceptance Test-Driven Development (ATDD), and Behavioral-Driven Development (BDD).
  • Create learning asset content and ensure alignment with DoD software engineering competencies for curriculum development, learning asset revisions, and determinations of delivery methods.
  • Prepares course materials (student and instructor) according to current instructional systems design technology and develops course schedules.
  • Provide extensive experience and knowledge in modern software development methods such as but not limited to the application of: Agile (e.g., Kanban, Scrum, eXtreme Programming), Development, Security and Operations (DevSecOps), modeling and simulation (M&S), software assurance and provenance for large and complex military systems – (military systems preferred)
  • Develop and analyze student assessments. helps answer student questions to ensure the highest degree of learning.

Qualifications:

  • Experience selecting, implementing and maintaining tools and services in a CI/CD pipeline
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, HTML/CSS, Javascript, XML, Python or R
  • At least one of the following certifications: CASP, GCIH, GCWN, GISF, GISP, GSSP, GICSP, GSSP, SEI, CISSP, CSSLP, SSCP, CCNP, CCNP Security, CCIE Security, CEH, ECSP, MCSE, RHCA, RHCE, VCP, VCAP, VCIX, VCDX, Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a favorable background check.
  • The candidate shall have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field and a minimum of 12 years of experience in system administration, database administration, network engineering, software engineering, or software development, with a concentration in cybersecurity
  • Extensive experience in development, APIs, and scripting language support
  • Extensive experience in design and automation of security tools and processes.
