Job Description


Earn $44,000/ annually, 3 weeks vacation, 10 calendar holidays (Includes 1 floating holiday), 3 personal days off with pay, and up to 80 sick days.


The PACE Developmental Specialist implements interventions for children 0-6, parents and teenage parents under the supervision of the PACE Program supervisor.


Functions


  • Collect and tabulates measurement tools as defined by grant
  • Perform all agency activities, job duties and responsibilities and related agency activities with respect and appreciation for the persons served, including the diversity of cultures, traditions, and practices
  • Adhere to all agency policies and procedures
  • Coordinate referrals for clients for services not covered by the grant, when indicated
  • Responsible for identifying, obtaining and maintaining sites to implement program services (with approval from program supervisor)
  • Participate in weekly individual/group supervision or as agreed upon with the program supervisor
  • Participate in 10 of 12 monthly staff meetings
  • Collect demographic data as required by grant and submits to data entry specialist within given deadlines
  • Collect demographic data and submits to data entry specialist and program supervisor within given deadlines
  • Facilitate presentations at approved sites to help obtain clients for enrollment to the program
  • Complete all required trainings within given deadlines
  • Market the program in the community to help expand services within in the program
  • Complete documentation that is of high quality and in accordance with agency policies and any grant is submitted within given deadlines
  • Maintain good working relationships among co-workers and administrative staff
  • Attend and collaborate with community meetings/events/fairs
  • Collect and tabulates measurement tools and submits to data entry specialist and program supervisor within given deadlines
  • Conduct individual, family, and group training sessions with parents and their children 0-6, and teenage parents, as determined by the program
  • Perform other duties, as assigned


HOURS PER WEEK: Non-Exempt


  • Must be flexible to meet program needs
  • Regular hours entail 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday - Friday


Required Experience


  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to work independently with competent decision making using established criteria and
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Knowledgeable in areas of child development, infant mental health, family functioning, and early intervention
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills and ability to work in a flexible team environment
  • Bachelors Degree in mental health or related field; child development preferred.
  • Skilled in collaborating with other disciplines and services
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and schedule workload effectively and efficiently
  • Knowledge of moderate statistical and research techniques
  • Cultural sensitivity skills required
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
