Overview

Interface directly with the Rail business, speak and understand Rail terms and requirements, and effectively communicate those back to the offshore technical team. Perform technical code reviews with the offshore team and hands-on coding in various technologies. Combine technical and communication skills to work with the various shared service teams to execute technical tasks to support the needs of the business. Work together with our offshore team and change management group, preparing and executing SIT, UAT, and Production code elevations. Work with the Network team to setup micro segmentation and load balancing configurations. Work with Midtier to install and troubleshoot application and server issues. Work with our information security team to perform Veracode application (Dynamic and Static) scanning to identify and resolve application security vulnerabilities. May work remotely pursuant to First Citizens’ Remote Work Guidelines policy.

Qualifications

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field of study plus six (6) years of experience in the job offered or six (6) years of experience as a Technical Lead, Software Engineer, or a related occupation.

Position requires experience designing, developing, and supporting code that integrates with internal applications. Requires good technology interface knowledge of the following enterprise core applications: Infolease, Peoplesoft, SFDC, Biztalk, and AdobeLive Cycle. Requires good knowledge of the Rail industry’s core service providers and their interface offerings including: Railinc for UMLER, CLM and CLU, 7 Class One RRs for Freight EDI, maintenance providers and shop networks for Byte 500 BRC data exchange. Requires experience with the following technologies: Winforms, .NetMVC, C#.Net, Knockout JS, Jquery, middle layer WCF services, Web API, IIS, Entity Framework, bootstrap, SQL server, SSIS, SSRS, ControlM, and NHibernate. Requires the ability to create low-level design (data models, constraints, and relationship keys between the objects). Employer will accept a three- or four-year Bachelor’s degree.
