JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for assisting Merchandising Buying team in daily merchandising office functions. Responsible for samples, keying and tracking of orders and POG set up. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, RMS, Business Objects and internal computer software.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Consistent communication and follow through with internal business partners (sample room, DC, MRPC, AP, QA, fast track, A&H supply partners etc.)
• Responsible for annual sample inventory and DC live merchandise kiosk inventory
• Processing melt
• Vendor Communications including product and price variance, weight variance, collecting revised invoices as needed.
• Assist with PIW set up including merchant info tab details
• Transfer excess inventory from vault to other stores
• Updating Assortment sheet, test file and expansion file depending upon departmental workload
• Daily responsibility of IMS screens (minimum 2x daily)
• Responsible for POG set up and sku by store level integrity including updating retail wraps as needed and ensuring product is labeled to correct store levels.
• Train other details as needed as well as help with the continued enhancement of training material for other detail assistants
• Key purchase orders
• Weekly update and maintenance of PO Log. (Communicate with vendors and planners, manage order updates)
• Train MTP’s rotating through select departments as well as train new Assistant Buyers on IMS screens
• Responsible for vendor samples and vault integrity including live merchandise from DC, request and review SOE’s for test product to ensure vendors initial order is comparable to sample.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)

Required or Acceptable Job-Related Experience: customer service or administrative experience required

Years of Job-Related Experience Required: Minimum 1 year

Technical/Other Skills Required: Computer literate with knowledge of Word, Excel, and the Internet, with the ability to quickly learn other software packages (Business Objects, RMS, IMS)
