Desk Appraiser Jobs

Auto Desk Appraisers appraise automobile or other vehicle damage to determine repair costs for insurance claim settlement. Assist in the management of Tesla’s TABs and Independent appraiser network to ensure compliance with Tesla’s repair standards.

• Assist with the development, launch and administration of Tesla Insurance’s Direct-Repair-Program (DRP).
• On an as-needed basis, visit physical body repair locations to inspect damaged vehicles.
• Returns completed appraisal within company’s SLAs
• Review adjuster and body shop estimates against Tesla Insurance repair standards and make appropriate suggestions to body repair shops for changes.
• Follows the company photograph guidelines to verify the identity of the vehicle and to thoroughly document current condition/damage, prior damage, vehicle options, etc.
• Examine damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical, electrical, or interior damage.
• Determine salvage value on total-loss vehicle.
• Perform Tesla Insurance claims audits to determine areas for claims operational improvement.
• Arrange to have damage appraised by another appraiser to resolve disagreement with shop on repair cost.
• Collaborate with Tesla Service and Body Repair teams to ensure Tesla Insurance repair standards are documented and in alignment with Tesla OEM repair policies.
• Negotiates settlements in a timely manner as assigned.
