Job Description

Goal: The Design & Project Assistant works with the customer in offering design solutions to meet their needs. He/she plays an integral role in all customer facing aspects of our company: from customer service operations and assistance, to online ordering questions, as well as assisting with sizing, fabric swatches, data entry, etc.

The goal of this role is to assist and support the Account Managers and Customer Service Team, a key area for company growth and increased profit margins while also maintaining a high level of customer delight, multitasking and project management. The role also helps offer growth opportunities to perform Account Manager duties within time and to learn the role from day-to-day hands-on learning.

Characteristics: This person can flex to perform a variety of tasks, provide outstanding customer service and is resourceful in finding solutions no matter how small the detail. They have high problem-solving skills and are not afraid to connect with the customer via email, live chat and phone to delight them and assist them with their ordering needs and questions. They support our Account Managers in many ways down to the smallest detail.


Duties include:

Customer Service & Sales

· Customer delight: Speak professionally and energetically about our products and services that we offer, educating our customers on our project timeline and current lead times, and managing conference room cleanliness and greeting customers. Stocking office supplies as needed and keeping our office space clean and organized.

· Job prospecting: Reach out to past and potential customers to help grow and find opportunities for future sales and help to promote and manage Studio Business Accounts and Customer Qualifications

· Illustration Requests: Manage illustration requests and follow-up with customers, using the E-commerce Customer Service Manager position as support.

· Communications: Assist with phone, live chat, emails, and customer form submissions. Become the go-to resource for customer questions regarding simple ordering inquiries, phone management and voicemail/transferring. Provide assistance to the Account Managers with reach outs, follow ups and general organizational items

· Order Management: processing reorders, laundry services, repair/alterations/fixes assistance to Account Managers. Pulling fabric swatches, submitting sublimated swatch requests and sample management.

· Work Order assistance and management

· Taking payment and processing of funds over the phone


Marketing and New Product Assistance

· Process orders and assist customer with purchase of New Product Designs and processing of orders

· Pro-active sales and lead nurturing. Actively engaging in SQL (Sales Qualified Leads) to convert sales, nurturing new and existing leads. Work closely with E-Commerce Account Manager, Customer Service Manager and Account Managers

· Support Marketing efforts, sending catalogs, pulling sample items and set up for events and trade shows.

Job Type: Full-time


Salary: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
