Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating systems and/or user needs to analyze, design, and implement cloud-based AXON digital evidence management system(DEMS) capabilities to facilitate agency policy, standards, business processes, workflows, and efficiencies.


The position is Hybrid Requiring work Onsite and Travel to Field offices with OPD employees.

Job description:

  • Operates with a sense of urgency, accuracy, and detail orientation, while maintaining consistent lines of communication with all teams involved in the project.
  • Participate in presentations, solution demonstrations, & deployment plan criteria.
  • Possess API knowledge to establish APIs, test APIs, and integrate APIs with other applications and systems.
  • Responsible for ensuring the schedule, budget, and details of the project.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and gatekeeper in the adoption of AXON Evidence.com digital evidence management system capabilities to facilitate agency policy, standards, business processes, workflows, and efficiencies.
  • Troubleshoot IT issues, and provision requests utilizing the OPD helpdesk system.
  • Demonstrate ability to implement, drive, track, and report project updates/status to the OPD CTO in the form of a dashboard, action log, meetings, etc.
  • Demonstrate hands-on technical understanding of modern applications (frontend and backend) for system setup and configuration, cross-functional services, environments, applications, and systems.
  • Develop a project timeline and deliverables, requirements, process, and procedure to receive, and distribute.
  • Provide training on AXON Evidence and perform knowledge transition to the OPD IT project team.
  • State-wide travel is required by accompanying State employees. Other duties as assigned.

5-10% of the consultant’s time will be spent on-going on documentation and training as part of knowledge transfer.


Required Education: At least a Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software, Information Systems, or a related field.
