Position Summary

The Manager of Apparel Design is responsible for the ideation, creation, execution, management, and cross functional partnership of apparel product design creation at UA, with a focus on the Women’s Train division.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work cross functionally to ensure the business and design vision needs are considered and able to be executed through the supply chain. our production art processes & template are efficient, and have future vision to how things can be improved
  • Manage apparel design team’s workload & deliverables across multiple projects and seasons at the same time.
  • Work cross functionally with other apparel design partners to ensure cross category collaboration and share of ideas & athlete insights.
  • Accountable for their apparel design team’s quality & accuracy of work, as well as deadlines
  • Manage & direct the apparel design team, reporting into them, with their daily tasks, planning for future needs as well as their team’s performance and future development.
  • Partner on process improvement ideas with in apparel design, be proactive with challenges, and solution oriented
  • Partner and communicate with Design Director on category direction, vision and execution.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Strong communication & organizational skills
  • Adobe Creative suites proficiency – Illustrator
  • High ability to multi task

Education And / Or Experience

  • Candidate has some management experience
  • Minimum of 7 years design experience

Other Requirements

  • Travel: 10-20%
  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our global headquarters in Baltimore, MD.
  • Return To Work Designation: 2 days a week in office

Relocation

  • Relocation may be provided up to a specified amount
  • Base salary range: $96,810.00-$133,134.00

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual’s relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed
